You do not need an internet connection to play most digital Xbox games as long as it’s set as your Home Xbox. However, you will need an internet connection for downloading and installing the games and to access multiplayer features. Once the game you want to play is downloaded then you can switch to offline mode in the network settings. To set your Xbox as your “Home Xbox” sign in to your Xbox, go to Settings, then General and then Personalization.
