An address label is a sticker or printed tag that shows a destination or return address for an item that’s going to be mailed or shipped. They can be placed on letters, envelopes and small packages so delivery people and postal workers know where to deliver the mail. To write a standard mailing address label, start by placing the recipient’s name on the first line, the street address on the second line and the municipality, province abbreviation and postal code on the final line of the mailing label. When writing the postal code, separate the first and last three characters with a single space. The same rules apply for the return address.
