FAQs
How far can an AirTag track?
AirTags have a range of 30-100 feet (10-30 metres) when they are connected to an iPhone, iPad or a MacBook with Bluetooth. However, when the AirTag is out of Bluetooth range, they can be tracked globally through Apple’s Find My network. This uses nearby Apple devices to send the AirTag’s location to iCloud. AirTags don’t provide live, continuous updates, updates depend on someone walking by with an Apple device, which can vary in length of time. You can use your Apple Watch to track your AirTag after the initial pairing was done with an iPhone.
Is there a monthly fee for an AirTag?
No, there is no monthly fee for using an AirTag. AirTags are a one-time purchase. Tracking functions are included for free through the Apple Find My app on iPhones and iPads. The only ongoing expense for an AirTag is replacing the CR2032 coin cell battery that it uses. You can also purchase a separate loop or holder for your AirTag if you want to better connect it to your belongings.
How to reset an AirTag?
To reset your AirTag, your first need to remove it from your Find My app account. Next, you have to remove the battery and reinsert it five times until a “chirping” sound is heard, signaling that it has reset. When an AirTag has reset it can be paired with a new Apple account, or it can fix the connection issues with your account. If you want to add extra coverage and protection with your purchase, we offer extended warranty options you can explore.
