May 1, 2020.

Store Hours and Protocals
We are operating with reduced store hours at Bureau en Gros stores in Quebec. Stores hours are 12 to 5 p.m., 6 days a week (closed Sunday in accordance with the Quebec government order).
We have implemented the following protocols in our stores to help associates and customers practice social distancing:
  • Limiting the number of customers in our stores at any given time
  • Paused all in-store events
  • Placed social distancing markers around counters and in queues to help reinforce social distancing when shopping in store
  • Added protective shields at checkout counters
  • Implemented Contactless Curbside Pickup for buy online, pick up in store orders, and online print orders
We continue to reinforce hygiene protocol with our associates and have increased the frequency of cleaning at Bureau en Gros stores and business locations.
Solutionshop
In-store Solutionshop and staplesprint.ca are still available to support customers with the services they need, with Contactless Curbside Pickup available on online print orders. As a preventative measure, in-home visits/installations have been suspended, however tech services remain available. If customers wish to visit our stores, we are ready and able to help, and if you require service from home, we can offer support by phone or dial in to your equipment remotely.
Any additional updates on changes to our operations will be posted on bureauengros.com. We continue to monitor this changing situation and will adapt our operations as needed, while still providing the products and services Canadians need to support their communities.

To Our Dedicated Associates

April 2, 2020.
To the Staples Community,
During this uncertain and challenging time, I am proud of how the Staples Canada family has come together to support each other and our communities.
At Staples, we are committed to acting with the best interest of our associates and customers in mind. We continue to take action and change the way we operate every day for the safety of our associates and customers. To read about what we’ve done so far, visit help.staples.ca.
Our exceptional group of dedicated associates are working hard at our stores, Fulfillment Centres and Printing & Technology Service Hubs. These associates are working on the frontline, making sure that Canadians continue to have access to the products and services they need during this time to keep their businesses running and children learning. To thank our associates for their hard work over the past few weeks, we will provide all frontline associates with a special Thank You Bonus.
We continue to encourage you to stay home and start shopping at Staples.ca, where we continue to offer free shipping on all orders and Contactless Curbside Store Pickup for most items.
If you plan on shopping at one of our Staples locations over the next few days, my ask to you is to be mindful of the social distancing measures that we have in place. Please be sure to follow the social distancing markers and keep a 2-metre distance from other customers who are shopping. Our associates are doing their best to implement these measures in store, but they need your support and cooperation.
Protecting the health and safety of our associates and customers is paramount – we will continue looking at how we can adapt our operations.
We recognize that our customers are relying on our team to keep you safely connected. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this time.
Sincerely,

David Boone

COVID-19: Updated Store Hours Staples Canada

To the Staples community:
With the complex concerns around COVID-19 evolving quickly in Canada and around the world, it has become clear that we must all do our part to help. We continue to navigate this challenging time and wanted to give you an update on the actions we are taking to support our customers and associates across Canada.
The health and wellbeing of our community is what matters most. With things changing by the minute, we are making some important changes at our stores. Starting Thursday, March 19, we will reduce store hours at Staples locations across Canada. This decision is a precautionary measure to help protect the wellbeing of the Staples community. We have shared full details on these changes and new store hours at staples.ca.
In light of social distancing recommendations, we will also limit customer numbers in our stores for the comfort and safety of our associates. We've taken additional precautions to keep our communities safe, including extensive cleaning and sanitizing in each of our locations while they remain open for business. For customers who prefer to shop online, staples.ca is offering free shipping with no minimums.
Thousands of small businesses, health care clinics, government agencies, offices and communities across Canada rely on us to provide essential products and services to continue basic operations during this uncertain time. It is important to many communities that we continue to serve them in-store and online. In recent days, we have received numerous notes from customers letting us know they appreciate the safety precautions we’ve taken and our continued efforts to serve their needs.
We are here to support you – Canada’s small businesses, essential services, educators, parents and our entire community as we work through this together.
We are proactively managing our supply of products to ensure we continue to have what you need. As one would expect, we are experiencing some in-stock limitations for certain in-demand products, such as wipes, disinfectant and hand sanitizer, and are working hard to continuously replenish those items.
To get through this pandemic, we need to come together, be kind and caring, and continue doing our part to keep each other safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we all work through this unprecedented situation together.
