Stocking Stuffers Under $25 for the Tech Lover

With less than two weeks left until Christmas everyone, including me, is scrambling to get their last minute shopping done. At this stage I also tend to notice that I’m creeping outside of my budget so by the time I get to the stocking stuffers I’m running out of time and money. That’s where a great list of cost effective stocking stuffers, like the one below, comes in. Hopefully you’ll find the following five stocking stuffers helpful during your last minute Christmas scramble:

1. Logitech M325 Wireless Mouse

Price: $19.93-$24.97

With the ubiquity of touch screens and track pads, having a mouse for your laptop seems to have gone out of style. That being said, I still find a mouse to be an extremely useful tool and think they make great stocking stuffers. Logitech’s M325 wireless mouse is a great choice for this purpose. This is a two-button mouse that gets great battery life from the two AA batteries it uses. It’s compatible with both Mac and PC and comes in a variety of colours and patterns. Depending on the colour you choose, it will set you back between $19.93 and $24.97.

2. Logitech Wireless Keyboard K360

Price: $24.97

If someone on your list is looking for a compact wireless keyboard, this is a great choice especially at this price point! This keyboard is approximately 20% smaller than a standard keyboard. Like the mouse I mentioned above this keyboard gets great battery life—three years on a single pair of AA batteries. Another great feature on this little gem is a unifying nano-receiver that allows you to add other compatible devices without having to add their USB receivers clogging up your USB ports.

3. Panasonic ErgoFit Noise Isolating Stereo Earbuds

Price: $19.94

Typically, I don’t recommend scrimping on headphones because I find that it means sacrificing sound quality. That being said there is a place for low cost earbuds especially for kids who tend to be rough on them or lose them. The Panasonic ErgoFit Noise Isolating earbuds offer great sound quality and a comfortable fit. As you might have guessed by the name, they also offer noise isolation. At less than $20, you can’t go wrong here.

4. LaCie 16GB USB 2.0 PetiteKey Flash Drive

Price: $24.99

In my house USB keys can be found in stockings on a yearly basis. Due to their portable nature they tend to go missing or get lent out without ever being returned. If your family goes through USB keys as quickly as mine the LaCie PetiteKey flash drive is a great stocking stuffer. The PetiteKey fits nicely on a keychain, which means it can go anywhere. It’s also very durable featuring a scratch-resistant connector and a waterproof rating up to 100 metres. The 16GB version comes in at $24.99 but you can get an 8GB one for just $16.99.

5. Incipio Octane iPhone 6 Case

Price $24.99

If someone on your shopping list has recently upgraded to an iPhone 6 you should definitely consider getting them some added protection for their new phone. Smartphones are a valuable tool but they tend to be fragile and even small drops can cause damage. While some cases can get pricey spending a lot for a case that provides great protection isn’t necessary. The Incipio Octane iPhone 6 case offers advanced drop protection at just $24.99. The polymer bumper is textured for better grip and added protection.
