What's a Thanksgiving dinner without roast turkey? If you are in the habit of cooking a lot of turkey on Thanksgiving, there will usually be some leftover the following day. Leftover turkey is never a waste because you can keep it in the fridge and eat it for several days. In fact, there are an amazing number of dishes you can make with leftover turkey.
Here are 5 delicious ways to eat leftover turkey:
1. Turkey sandwich
Sandwiches are one of the easiest things to make with leftover turkey. Depending on your taste, prevailing mood and the ingredients available, you can make a grilled turkey sandwich, a sweet and spicy turkey sandwich, turkey bacon avocado sandwich, Cuban midnight turkey sandwich, a turkey wrap and a Monte Cristo sandwich or any other type of sandwich that you are good at making. Quick and easy to make, leftover turkey sandwiches are especially good for breakfast, but you can have it at any time of the day.
2. Turkey pot pie
Another quick and easy item you can make from leftover turkey is the turkey pot pie. There are several variations of this mouthwatering dish; but most of them require readymade pie crust (you can make your own if you want to) and vegetables such as carrots, peas and beans.
