If you work from a home office, you understand how important it is to have equipment that is space efficient as well as offering superior performance. A great way to save space is to purchase an all-in-one printer works as a photocopier and scanner as well. A great choice if you decide to go this route is to purchase the Epson Workforce 3540 All-in-One printer.
Features
The Epson WF-3540 has some great features that make it the perfect addition to your home office. For starters, the WF-3540 has a great design featuring two paper trays with the capacity to hold 500 sheets of paper so you don’t have to reload as often. It also has an automatic document feeder that allows you to quickly scan and photocopy documents. If you prefer not to use the automatic feeder, it also has a flatbed scanner. My favourite design feature on this printer is the 3.5 inch gesture based touchscreen control panel which allows you to navigate the printer’s menus quickly and intuitively.
The WF-3540 makes printing quick and efficient by giving you a few different options for sending your documents to print. You can network the printer allowing you to easily send documents to it from any computer on the network. Alternatively, you can push documents to the printer using Apple AirPrint or Google Cloud Print. Finally, you can use this device as a standalone printer by popping a flash drive into the USB port and printing directly from the flash drive.
Performance
In terms of performance, this printer really delivers. Firstly, it starts up very quickly when you turn it on. It also has amazing print speed reaching up to 15 pages per minute, depending on the content on the page, of course.
The WF-3540 produces impressive print results with even tiny text coming out crisp and clear. I would say that in this respect, it rivals much more expensive laser models. It handles colour graphics quite well, as well.
There are a couple of misconceptions about inkjet printers that WF-3540 blows out of the water. Inkjet printers have a reputation of being inefficient with ink and expensive to purchase ink for. However, the WF-3540 is not only ink efficient but it also uses extra high capacity ink cartridges, which means less replacements. In addition, this printer is super quiet, which is great because I find there’s nothing worse than sharing your desk with a printer that sounds like it’s about to take off.
The bottom line is that this printer is essential for any home office. It has some impressive features at this price point and produces superior quality printouts. Printing is very efficient which means you’re not stuck waiting for that last minute report or proposal to print when you’re already running late for a meeting. The WF-3540 provides you with a variety of methods to send your documents to print, including a USB port, which allows you to print directly from a flash drive. Finally, this printer is super quiet and extremely ink efficient, making it a great long-term investment for your home office.
