Our Impact Partnerships

Bullfrog Power × Staples
The Working and Learning Company's print centers, Staples Studio co-working locations, and production centres are bullfrogpowered® with 100% clean, renewable electricity. As a result, Staples Canada is now the #1 Retailer for Bullfrog Power in Canada. Bullfrog Power’s generators put 100% clean, pollution-free electricity onto the grid to match the amount of conventional power that Staples Canada uses at these locations. Through 10+ years of partnership, Staples Canada continues to reduce their environmental impact, support the development of new community-based green energy projects in Canada, and support an innovative approach to growing the renewable energy industry.

Tree Canada X Staples
The year 2023 marked the 15th year of Staples’ partnership with Tree Canada. Over the course of our partnership, we have planted over 237,997 trees, supported numerous community greening projects, recovered areas hit by disasters, and helped grow a better place to live for Canadians across the country. These trees planted have also contributed significantly to a more sustainable future for all Canadians through carbon emission compensation.

Battery Recycling

Introducing the Complimentary Battery Recycling Program by Staples Professional and Call2Recycle. We are thrilled to offer a free battery recycling program to all Staples Professional business customers. Call2Recycle is a leading not-for-profit battery recycling service provider, well-known for its outstanding service to organizations, communities, and companies across Canada.

Fifty Green Program

The Fifty Green program encourages our customers to help reduce their impact on the environment by reducing the number of deliveries to their location(s) through combining orders. This allows for better service and more competitive pricing, while reducing packaging requirements and carbon emissions. We currently employ 2 program options:

 1) The Fifty Green Charge – encouraging you to combine your orders. Should your order remain less than $50, we will add a charge of $9.99 to the order. A portion of this charge will be donated to Tree Canada to help plant trees in local communities across Canada to offset your environmental impact.
 2) The Fifty Green Accelerator – encourages you to combine your orders to reach a minimum of $50. Should your order remain less than $50, we will save the order to allow you time to determine additional items for purchase. The benefits of this program include no additional delivery charges and ecologically sound purchasing practices.
