Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS)-Extended to September 25, 2021 Federal Canadian businesses, non-profit organizations, or charities who have seen a drop in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of their commercial rent or property expenses, starting on September 27, 2020, until June 2021. Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant (SMERG) (Lower Threshold and Increase Grant Amount) - Extended Alberta The Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant offers financial assistance to Alberta organizations (businesses, cooperatives and non-profits) that were ordered to close or curtail operations, and that experienced a revenue reduction of at least 30%, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Support for Restricted Businesses - eligible for Assistance for Businesses in Regions under Maximum Alert (AERAM) Quebec The government of Quebec is announcing improvements to certain support measures for businesses. The list of priority businesses from December 25 to January 10 lists the commercial establishments that may remain open during this period. It follows that retail businesses not covered by this list as well as those offering personal services (hairdressing, manicure, etc.) will have to close their doors from December 25 to January 10 inclusive, and this , everywhere in Quebec.
